This website is a web version of the book "Tsukuba Naval Air Group: Recollections of Their Youth" published by the Lifelong Learning Division of the Board of Education of Tomobe Town (now Kasama City) in Ibaraki Prefecture, which was created based on a direct request from former Navy Captain Nobuya Kinase, also former professor, who was the commander of the 9th Kamikaze Tsukuba Special Attack Unit, as well as other people involved with Tsukuba Naval Air Group and the bereaved family. About ten years have passed since the request. While Mr. Kinase and many others have passed away, we have tried to be as faithful as possible so that as many people as possible will be able to remember them. I have also added to the articles from recent years.
